TalentWorld is recruiting a Aircraft Engine Technician in Winnipeg, Manitoba for one of our clients.
Responsibilities Perform maintenance, repairs, and modifications on aircraft engines per the Engine Shop Manager’s instructions. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate documentation. Inspect incoming parts and oversee parts scrapping with necessary approvals. Certify engine repairs, ensuring quality standards are met. Document and resolve deferred defects following proper procedures. Train and mentor junior technicians as directed. Provide regular job updates and report defects or work stoppages. Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure proper tool use. Adhere to all safety, maintenance, and company policies. Lift up to 50 lbs when required and participate in training courses. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in aerospace or mechanical engineering (or equivalent experience). Valid Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) certification or equivalent (asset). 3-5 years of experience with gas turbine engines. Preferred Engine Experience: De Havilland Dash 8-Q400 (PW150A) Airbus A320 Family (CFM56-5A/B) Pratt & Whitney PW100, PW4000 CRJ100/200, CRJ700/900, CRJ1000 Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and engine repair techniques. Proficient in aircraft maintenance tracking systems (e.g., CAMP, AMOS) and Microsoft Office (Basic). Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and work in physically demanding environments. Employment Details Salary: Starting at $25+ per hour.
