Responsibilities As a Aircraft Loadmaster (Instructor), GS-2185-10, you will provide ground and flight training instruction for developing, upgrading, and evaluating the skills of loadmaster aircrew members; assisting the pilot in the operation of the aircraft; performing loadmaster duties on assigned missions; and accomplishing related staff work. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Military Grades: Enlisted GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience in functions such as preparing aircraft loading plans, loading and offloading aircraft, operating loading equipment, and ensuring security of cargo in flight. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1 year equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Responsible for leading teams in loading and unloading the aircraft, providing for passenger comfort and safety, and assisting the pilot in the operation of the aircraft; performing loadmaster duties on assigned missions; and accomplishing related staff work. This sole enlisted crewmember is assigned significant additional preflight, inflight and post flight duties. Typical missions assigned the unit include the airlift of equipment and personnel, medical evacuation, and polar operations.
