As an Aircraft Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for planning and scheduling all aircraft repair and maintenance activities and ensuring those activities are performed safely and on-time. You'll help ensure projects are properly staffed with qualified employees and establish work standards. You'll also review maintenance delays and system problems in order to suggest improvements to maintenance processes and procedures. You will have overall responsibility for the airworthiness of the fleet and will ensure safe and adequate maintenance is performed at all times. The Aircraft Maintenance Manager will support the Field Site Manager and will be responsible for all aircraft maintenance actions. Appreciable leniency will be given in regard to progress upkeep and goal setting. Responsibilities:
Provide Management oversight and scheduling for a team of A&P Mechanics in a high tempo environment.Plan and scheduled upcoming phase maintenance (manpower & parts) accordingly through research of Time Life Reports.Coordinate upcoming schedule with Field Site Manager and Customer for minimal impact to flight schedule.Provide customer feedback to appropriate personnel to help ensure customer satisfaction.Knowledge of Aircraft Maintenance and Inspection processes and procedures and/or returning planes to service.Review system data to identify system/operator errors and provide feedback to field service personnel, operators, and/or analysts.Work directly with engineers during periodic system upgrades or replacements.Interview and assist with the hiring of support service personnel.Provide input and metrics for monthly or daily status reports (DSR) detailing the Field Site status WRT operation, maintenance, personnel, near term plans and issues.Qualifications You Must Have:
B.A. (or equivalent degree) - a higher level degree may substitute for relevant experienceTypically, 6+ years of progressive aviation experience, which includes 0-2+ years of management experience.Military flightline operation experience.Experience with aviation safety standards and safe operating practicesGeneral knowledge and understanding of FAA regulations, policies, and proceduresStrong communication skills both written and verbalBasic Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel)Experience with Aircraft Maintenance and Inspection processes and procedures and/or returning planes to serviceFederal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification/license . Inspection Authorization (IA) designation preferred.The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is requiredQualifications We Prefer:
Familiarity with Edwards AFBEstimated Starting Salary Range: $94,345.12 - $129,724.54. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
