Aircraft Maintenance Production Superintendent
Akima Logistics Services is seeking an Aircraft Production Supervisor for the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) Contractor Logistics Support contract at the Benjamin O' Davis Airfield. This manager oversees all aircraft maintenance in accordance with FAA Part 91 Regulations on registered and public us general aviation aircraft. To join our team of outstanding professionals, apply today! **Responsibilities** + Supports the Director of Maintenance/Program Manager with overall aircraft maintenance program at the United States Air Force Academy in accordance with Performance Work Statement. + Closely adheres to all Performance Work Statement deliverables to include aircraft metrics (MC rates, MSE, KPI’s). + Manages the overall direction of the maintenance effort and enforces safe maintenance practices. Priority is placed on aircraft supporting operational requirements, scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, and aircraft used for maintenance and/or operations training. Ensures all required maintenance and logbooks have been completed to support flying day mission requirements. + Attends the daily maintenance planning meetings for the purpose of incorporating unscheduled maintenance into the weekly and daily maintenance plans. + Evaluates workload requirements and makes changes to aircraft utilization schedules as required. + Takes prompt and decisive action to make on-the-spot adjustments to maintenance repair priorities necessitated by unscheduled maintenance requirements. + Controls and coordinates maintenance activity on the flight-line. + Monitor’s aircraft maintenance in progress and evaluates estimated completion time against scheduling and planning requirements. Anticipates problems and directs changes of flight-line activities to meet mission schedules. May be required to coordinate with Maintenance Lead to select workers and assign tasks to be performed. When necessary, initiates action to resolve personnel shortages and coordinates requirements with the Director of Maintenance. + Reviews work in progress or upon completion for compliance with policies and procedures. + Ensures utilization of proper tools and equipment and adherence to technical data with all maintenance actions. Determines methods necessary to meet mission requirements including authorizing and directing cannibalization on assigned aircraft. Cannibalization actions will be coordinated with Director of Maintenance and PS&D. + Ensures aircraft status is accurately reported in accordance with Air Force instructions, reports, and applicable supplements. + Works closely with the expediter and PS&D to ensure that actual aircraft status matches the aircraft status reported in the automated reporting system. . + Performs other duties assigned such as, assisting the Quality and Logistics Manager with Quality Management processes and procedures. Provides initial and recurring training to the workforce and ensures compliance based on the direction of the Quality and Logistics Manager. **Qualifications** + Must be a U.S. citizen. + Bachelor’s degree in aircraft maintenance management or equivalent or, minimum 10-years aircraft maintenance experience from a supervisory role. + Ability to work Swing shift hours approximately 1300-2130. + Must have extensive knowledge with Microsoft Office products. + AQMS AS9100/9110 or ISO 9001:2015 knowledge desirable. **Pay Range** 95,000-105,000 **Benefits** Regular - The company offers a comprehensive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) and a range of other voluntary benefits.
