Job Description
The Aircraft Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining the North Shore University Hospital aircraft to the highest standard to ensure airworthiness and safety for each flight.
Job Responsibility
1. Oversees maintenance operations, ensuring quality assurance, vendor management and monthly reporting on maintenance programs, while adhereing to Part 91 general operating and flight rules for non-commercial aviation. 2. Monitors CAMP (Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program) maintenance status report, reviews discrepancy lists provided by maintenance vendors, and takes necessary action.
3. Checks tire inflation, service oxygen, oil and nitrogen.
4. Recommends replacement, repair, or modification of aircraft equipment based on pre/post flight inspections.
5. Avionics (Honeywell) – Install Bi-Monthly Navigation database updates and avionics software updates as required.
6. Provides professional input as needed regarding M&O (Maintenance and Operations Procedures) procedures and discrepancies discovered by pilots.
7. Identifies discrepancies, logs for record, and performs basic trouble shooting.
8. Sources and procures non-warranty parts and supplies for the aircraft.
9. Performs all work activities in accordance with established laws, regulations, standards, safety protocols, and procedures to ensure safety of self and others.
10. Assists in making recommendations on process improvement, new processes, tools and techniques, or development of new clinical services.
11. Supports flight department management by making maintenance recommendations that improve aircraft reliability, uptime, and safety.
Job Qualification
•High School Diploma and 1-3 years of relevant experience, required. •Airframe and Powerplant Certification, required.
•Minimum 2-3 years of Turbine Aircraft experience, required.
