Aircraft Mechanic A&P Flyer -1st Shift - U.S. Marshals

For the U.S. Marshals you will monitor aircraft maintenanceand accurately complete all aircraft paperwork to ensure safety and timely delivery. Perform Pre- Post- and In-Flight inspections, adjustments, and minor repairs to ensure safe and efficient operation of aircraft.

Day Shift: 0500 - 1400, but may vary due to arrival and departure times. Monday through Friday, with some weekend requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Predeparture and daily inspections of aircraft.Launch and recovery of USMS aircraft.Pireps Log Book items.Ensure work performed adheres to high quality standards. Perform heavy maintenance tasks with minimal supervision. Perform any type of aircraft rigging. Use FAA approved data i.e. IPC, M M, OHM, SRM proficiently. Effectively interact with customer representatives. Must be comfortable exercising the full privilege of AP license.Inspect aircraft prior to takeoff for defects, such as fuel or oil leaks or malfunctions in electrical, hydraulic, or pressurization systems, according to preflight checklist. May perform repairs upon completion of flight.All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree GED required. Must have a minimum of 5 years related aviation / aircraft experience and/or training. Must have an airframe and powerplant (AP) license. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Active Security Clearance a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS WORK ENVIRONMENT

Constantly:Lifting 10 lbs., standing, walking, wrist flexion and extension, environmental weather conditions.Frequently:Lifting ≤40 lbs., push/pull <20 lbs., climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, squatting, crawling, kneeling for extended periods, working in confined spaces. Working above chest-level, overhead, and away from body for extended periods. Bending, twisting of torso, twisting and/or pressure with wrist/hands, fine finger usage, moderate vibrations up to 2 hrs. to high vibrations up to 30 mins. Vision with/without correction; near <20”, far >20’, and basic depth perception (shapes). Working at elevated heights ≥4’, working on ladders, scaffolding, uneven surfaces, and energized parts.Occasionally:Lifting and/or carry ≤50 lbs., sitting, basic color vision, operation of motorized or electrical equipment, push/pull <50 lbs., work in wet conditions.
