Volt is immediately hiring for an Airplane Mechanic in Indianapolis, IN.

\r\n\r\n

As an Airplane Mechanic, you will perform assembly, disassembly, and repairs required in completion of airframe overhaul, repair, modification, and upgrades. Including but not limited to removal, replacement, and repair of parts of engines, airframes, and aircraft structures and systems. In addition, you will:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tPerform airframe, powerplant, and propeller repairs and modifications to meet company and FAA requirements\r\n\tPerform routine inspections and troubleshooting, including airframe structures, engines, and aircraft systems\r\n\tConduct airframe system, component changes, and systems checkouts\r\n\tInterpret technical manuals, drawings, schematics, and blueprints\r\n\tPerform other required activities, as assigned\r\n\tPerform as a leader and trainer of a functional and/or cross-functional team.\r\n\r\n\r\n

This is a full-time, contingent opportunity.

\r\n\r\n

The ideal candidate will have:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tAirframe and Powerplant license\r\n\tMinimum of 5 years of experience with diversified jet, turboprop, piston, modification, aircraft/flight maintenance or airframe sheet metal maintenance\r\n\tExperience in MRO’s\r\n\tAbility to operate all pneumatic, power, hand tools and equipment necessary to accomplish work assignment\r\n\tAbility to use arithmetic, and read blueprints and specifications\r\n\tKnowledge of jet, piston, airframe and engine principles\r\n\tStructural experience (i.e. installing/removing Rivets, Hi-Lok's, etc.)\r\n\tBackground in structural/sheet metal repair and/or assembly \r\n\r\n\r\n

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS: Maximum weight to be handled will be aligned with Environmental Safety and Health governing documentation. May occasionally perform duties in a standing, kneeling or squatting position. Good eyesight and ability to distinguish color is necessary.

Pay Rate: $30.00 - $39.14 per hour

\r\n\r\n
