Summary

 

Performs inspections and maintenance on company owned single engine aircraft.  

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:  

Assist with inspections and maintenance on company owned single engine aircraft.  Responsible for ordering parts, handling shipping and receiving and inventory Conduct logbook research Handle company paperwork including processing company credit card purchases for approval Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements: 
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:

        FAA Certified Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic 2 years experience in General Aviation aircraft maintenance Significant knowledge and experience with single-engine Cessna type aircraft maintenance Basic computer skills such as working with Microsoft Office software Able to work without direct supervision Strong problem solving and decision making skills Good verbal and written communication skills Able to work effectively in conjunction with the Lead Mechanic in managing maintenance on the patrol aircraft. Subject to extended workdays and/or workweeks, and call-out for emergency response.  Will be required to carry a cell phone. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently, and able to adjust to changing priorities.

Working Conditions:
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. 

Usually, normal office working conditions. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing. Occasional overnight travel may be required. Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings, which may include exposure to various materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
