The Aircraft Noise department is looking for an Intern II to be an integral part of mitigating aircraft noise while contributing to meaningful projects that impact both the airport and surrounding communities. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal and communication skills which will contribute to positive collaboration while engaging with diverse stakeholders. They will be excited about data analysis and will leverage their strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills to work on complex projects associated with aircraft noise.
What You’ll Do:
Noise Monitoring & Mitigation: Utilize advanced noise monitoring tools and technologies to collect, analyze, and interpret data on aircraft noise levels. Create reports, charts, and visual aids to deliver findings. Assist in developing and implementing noise mitigation strategies such as flight path optimization and community outreach programs to reduce noise disturbances. Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration: Interact with residents, community groups, and regulatory agencies to address noise-related concerns and inquiries. Work alongside multiple airport authority departments to integrate noise management considerations into broader planning and development initiatives. Research & Innovation: Conduct research to enhance noise management strategies and identify mitigation solutions. Analyze data, evaluate industry best practices, and contribute to reports that support informed decision-making. Assist in the development of innovative approaches to noise reduction, including technology-driven solutions and policy recommendations. Participate in industry conferences, workshops, and public forums to stay at the forefront of advancements in noise management, expand technical expertise, and network with professionals shaping the future of aviation sustainability.The Skills We Are Looking For:
