Position Summary
The Aircraft Program Manager provides technical support of the company aircraft and partners. The Aircraft Program Manager reports to the Manager of Maintenance, to optimize the aircraft dispatch reliability and operational availability. The Aircraft Program Manager’s role is to enhance the overall management of aircraft maintenance and support programs.
Roles and Responsibilities
Perform maintenance, preventive maintenance, and inspections that conform to the standards established by the Company, regulations, and industry best practicesOptimize the aircraft dispatch reliability and operational availabilityEnsure timely scheduling and method of maintenance to minimize the impact on the flight scheduleProviding oversight of inspections, repairs, and modificationsAssist in the preparation of annual aircraft maintenance budgets to include OPEX and CAPEX recommendationsServe as a technical resource and subject matter expert on the company aircraftProvide recommendations for aircraft improvements, modifications, upgrades, etc.Review and ensure all required entries into the aircraft records and related documentation are accurate and managed in accordance with Company and FAA requirementsAssist in developing maintenance work scopes, obtaining proposals and review invoices for accuracyBuild and maintain strong vendor and industry business relationshipsServe as the Maintenance POC on the after-hours call team, which could include weekends and off-hour work to support the operational scheduleAssumes duties delegated by the Technical Operations Manager.Education/Experience/Certifications
5-10 years of business aviation maintenance and avionics experienceFAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate requiredNCATT Certification - Aircraft Electronics Technician (AET) with related endorsements (preferred)Trained on Company aircraft type preferredInspection Authorization (preferred)•Satcom Direct Aero IT Certification (preferred)Valid Driver's licenseValid Passport, or willing and able to obtain one
