Job Description:

The successful candidate will be experienced in performing Quality Assurance related tasks as required in support of engineering, testing, and production for the program. Inspect maintenance repairs and modifications for conformity to maintenance manuals, military specification and engineering drawings to special operational aircraft, major and minor scheduled and unscheduled maintenance IAW military T.Os, commercial maintenance manuals, and service bulletins of aircraft. They will also provide technical assistance and guidance during aircrew de-briefs and perform towing, marshalling, and positioning of aircraft on flight line.

Essential Functions:

Being able to read, interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, T.O specs, and engineering specifications.Must be able to assemble close tolerance parts and use common hand tools.Must be able to be certified to operate self-propelled vehicles such as forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and aircraft tow vehicles.Must be able to climb, including ladders, stairs, and portable stands and navigate these without assistance.Must be able to work in the following environmental conditions: noise, proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, chemicals, odor, and dust.Must be able to maneuver up to 50 pounds.Must wear approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)Willing to travel up to 25%.General knowledge of military aircraft FOD and Tool Control requirements.Ability to pass pre-employment background, drug, & medical screening; subject to random substance abuse screening.

Qualifications:

Active Top Secret security clearanceRequires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. May substitute experience with completion of Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) schooling.Minimum of 4 years O-Level Quality Assurance experience in any of the following: P-8A, C-40, 737 or other relevant aircraft.Active Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license

Preferred Additional Skills:

Active TS/SCI security clearanceMust have experience with the Navy’s NALCOMIS/OOMA/ASM/CSEC computer systems.Ability to pass flight line physical.Working knowledge of 4790 series, Periodic Maintenance Information Cards/Maintenance Requirement Cards.Must have requisite basic tools prior to starting to work. Tools must be shadowed and engraved, L3Harris will provide the material to complete this task once hired.
