Aircraft Servicer, General Lead
**Amentum** is seeking an **Aircraft Servicer, General Lead** in the **North of Las Vegas, NV area** . **Purpose and Scope:** Maintains aerospace ground equipment (AGE) to support aircraft systems or subsystems. Performs aircraft servicing, marshaling, and other tasks as assigned in the launch and recovery of aircraft with the objective of improving overall training, productivity, and performance. **Essential Responsibilities:** + Services aircraft with fuel, oil, oxygen, hydraulics, air, and nitrogen. + Assists with minor maintenance under the direct supervision of other qualified personnel. + Removes and installs panels, covers, plugs, tie downs, pins, and other equipment. + Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on AGE. Inspects, tests, and operates AGE to determine equipment serviceability and proper operation. + Diagnoses mechanical and electronic circuitry malfunctions using visual and auditory senses, test equipment, and technical publications. + Removes, dis-assembles, repairs, cleans, treats for corrosion, assembles, and re-installs AGE accessories and component. + Operates AGE special purpose vehicles and other support equipment as required. + Services tires and accumulators, etc. as directed. + Records maintenance actions in aircraft records; completes associated documentation as necessary. + Participates in aircraft wipe-downs. + Drives tugs for purpose of towing equipment. + Operates and utilizes fire suppression equipment, and common aircraft hand tools. + Participates in on the-job-training under direction of qualified personnel and documented in appropriate records. + Stores, handles, uses, and disposes of hazardous material and waste according to environmental standards. + Observes precautions prescribed by Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention, housekeeping, tool control and safety programs. + Develops the required monthly schedule with known projected overtime to the Contractor for approval. + Provides real time decisions to assign Overtime when required. + Provides updates to the schedule when applicable to meet operational and customer requirements. + Reviews timecards for accuracy prior to submission for approval. + Submits reports detailing accomplishments for the month. + Assists with reviews and re-writes of checklist and procedures. + Assists supervision with daily operations to ensure assigned areas are fully functional and operational. Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested. **Minimum Requirements:** + Completion of high school or the equivalent and two (2) or more years of related experience. + Completion of mechanical aircraft and related courses is desired. + Possession of an A&P License satisfies technical training requirements for this position. + Completion of aircraft related instruction in FOD prevention, safety, and tool control. + The ability to interpret technical information and data is required. + Qualify for and maintain a government Secret security clearance. + Possess a valid state issued driver’s license. **Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:** Typical airfield station, tower or terminal office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds. Constant sitting while using the computer terminal, ability to discern all colors of the spectrum (must not be color-blind), constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must possess planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
