**Job Title: Aircraft Structural Assembler**
**Job Description**
Performs routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories using manual operations.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories using manual operations.
+ Follow detailed work instructions, read and interpret blueprints, drawings, or specifications.
+ Route wire harnesses to supports per blueprint instructions.
+ Build connectors, splice wires, crimp, and terminate wires.
+ Install connectors to receptacles and electronic components.
+ Perform repairs and rework processes to incorporate authorized changes outlined by engineering instructions.
+ Select correct parts, materials, tools, assemblies, standards, hardware, etc.
+ Install, fit, fasten, align, adjust, and perform necessary pre-installation assembly work to accomplish the installation of structural components.
+ Report job constraints such as errors caused by workmanship, defects in parts, materials, assembly procedures, tools, sequences, etc.
+ Perform any repairs, rework, functional checks, and the incorporation of authorized changes as outlined by Lead.
+ Remove and/or replace installed components and any related parts.
+ Maintain clean, neat, organized, and FOD-free work area.
+ Employ the use of safety glasses, safety harnesses, respirators, boot socks, and other pertinent safety equipment 100% of the time.
+ Exhibit exemplary housekeeping and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) standards.
**Essential Skills**
+ 1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications in English.
+ Experience with aircraft structural parts fabrication, assembly processes, and procedures.
+ Experience with conventional lathe, milling, precision measuring, power, pneumatic and hand tools.
+ Experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite, and/or other specialized computer applications.
+ Ability to identify common tools.
+ Ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, schematics, engineering dispositions, and instructions.
+ Must have a minimum of 1 year of relevant electrical manufacturing and/or aviation experience.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience with hydraulic, ICS, PECS, duct installation, IFE, interior decorative repair, waste, and potable water systems.
+ Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
+ Possess understanding and knowledge of basic computer systems and programs.
+ Ability to stand for long periods of time and work in elevated and/or confined spaces as required.
+ Frequent overhead work may be required.
+ Frequent overtime may be required.

**Work Environment**
You will be part of large teams and need to be open to working 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts. Typical shift times are 5:30am-2pm, 2:30pm-11pm, and 11pm-6am. The work involves frequent balancing on a ladder, steps, or uneven surfaces, occasional climbing on 3-12 ft ladders or stands, and rotation of head/neck, sitting, and crawling. Safety consciousness is required, employing the use of safety glasses, safety harnesses, respirators, boot socks, and other pertinent safety equipment 100% of the time.

This is a Contract position based out of NORTH CHARLESTON, SC.
