Job Description
The Aircraft Technician, with limited supervision, assists with testing, adjusting, repairing, and other general tasks related to the maintenance and repair of airframe systems and components on a variety of airframes in a safe and clean work environment according to manufacturer's specifications, approved procedures, and customer specifications. This position also prepares and completes appropriate documentation in a timely manner.
ResponsibilitiesAssist in high-quality inspections, servicing, and maintenance of airframe systems and components on various airframes using proper hand tools in a timely, clean, safe, and professional manner with no rework.Accurately order general aircraft parts as needed.Perform minor troubleshooting, function testing, and repair of aircraft systems and components with limited supervision.Prepare various documents for record-keeping purposes as required by company policy and FAA regulations.Demonstrate proficiency in the work order system by completing accurate and timely discrepancies and corrective action statements, Service Bulletins, and Airworthiness Directives (AD) Compliance statements, final inspection, and closing of squawks and work orders.Essential SkillsAircraft maintenanceEither 4 plus years of military experience if no A&P license, or less than 4 years with sign-offs.A&P License preferredCandidates with structures experience only need 1-2 years of experience with no A&P license.Corporate or Business jet experience is highly sought after.Sheet metal experience is a plus.
Work Environment and Schedule
Technicians will work inside a temperature-controlled hangar with heated floors in the winter. Shifts include 1st shift from 6:00am to 4:00pm Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday, 2nd shift from 2:00pm to 12:00am Monday-Thursday or Tuesday-Friday, and a weekend shift from Friday-Sunday working 3 12-hour days with a 10% shift differential.
