Airframe Analysis Engineer - Electra Aero

An Airframe Analysis Engineer job with Belcan Engineering Group is currently available in Bellevue, WA. This job is a full time direct or contract position. To be considered for this role, you will need Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent, and experience in airframe structural analysis. In this job your primary responsibility will be classical hand calculations and finite element analysis for primary and secondary structure.
Job Duties:
* Perform structural analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) as well as classical aircraft hand stress analysis methods
* Perform plan, model, and results reviews, internally and with the customer
* Ensure that calculations and models are systematically checked and validated
* Perform analysis, evaluate results, and prepare formal reports of the findings
* Liaison with other teams as required and interact with OEM customers
* Maintain strong communication with internal project team and customer
* Manage your own project work and oversee a small team of junior analysts to achieve project success
Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor"s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent
* Seven or more years of experience performing airframe analysis and possess strong technical ability
* Solid understanding of structural load paths and failure modes
* Hand calculations skills and finite element analysis capabilities using Femap/Nastran (FEA)
* Static and fatigue analysis experience
* Ability to work independently, while adhering to strict timelines
* Leadership or mentoring experience
* Experience taking control of a task from start to finish
* Must have good interpersonal skills and willing to work in a team environment
* Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Must have excellent computer skills
* Legal authorization to work in the US required
* Travel to customer and work site locations as required
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
* Global loads modeling and experience using inertial relief
* Electric Aircraft experience
* Composites analysis experience
* Crack growth analysis experience
* VBA or similar programming skill set
Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $95,000 to $130,000. Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
