Airport Civil Engineer
Mead & Hunt, a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm, is seeking a full-time civil engineer to join our collaborative and innovative aviation team in our Minneapolis office. As a member of the project team, the Airport Civil Engineer will assist with design and construction administration of airport related projects. Responsibilities include designing aviation engineering projects; analyzing and preparing engineering design reports, specifications, construction cost estimates, and plans for various airport design projects; assisting with client interactions and communications with aviation clients; performing QA/QC tasks; assisting with project manager tasks; serving as the onsite project engineer on construction projects; reading and interpreting FAA Advisory Circulars, geotechnical reports, and survey data to utilize in project designs. A valid driver’s license and some travel will be required. The successful candidate must have all of the following: A bachelor’s degree or higher in civil engineering or transportation from an accredited four-year college or university At least four years of relevant work experience EIT certificaton PE or ability and willingness to obtain a PE Transportation related design and construction administration experience; A highly desirable candidate will have experience with any/all of the following: AutoCAD and Civil 3D experience Heavy Civil Construction experience If you have strong communication and organizational skills, are self-motivated, proactive, and can work well both independently and as part of a team, complete the online application process for this job posting at www.meadhunt.com/careers.
