ABOUT YOU
As an Airport Fleet Mechanic (Bargaining Unit, Local Union No. 25), you are a dedicated professional with exceptional technical skills, unwavering commitment to safety, and a strong work ethic. You excel in diagnosing and repairing a diverse range of equipment, collaborate seamlessly with the shop foreman to establish maintenance schedules, and respond promptly to maintenance requests. Your meticulous record-keeping ensures accurate maintenance records, cost tracking, and efficient inventory management. With adaptability and a focus on teamwork, you contribute to the smooth operation of the airport, ensuring equipment reliability and safety for the benefit of all passengers and personnel.
What you will do:
+ Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on diverse equipment, ensuring operational reliability.
+ Collaborate with the shop foreman to establish efficient maintenance schedules.
+ Expertly repair a wide range of equipment, from gasoline to aviation snow removal machinery.
+ Demonstrate dedication by responding to emergency repair calls beyond regular working hours.
WHAT YOU OFFER
+ Proficiency in basic reading, writing, math, and manual skills, as well as ability to communicate in standard English.
+ 3-5 years’ experience in maintenance and repair of gas and diesel equipment such as automobiles and heavy equipment.
+ Massachusetts CDL B driver’s license unrestricted except for corrective lenses.
+ MA Class 1C, 2A, and 4G Hoisting Licenses within six months of employment.
