POSITION OVERVIEW:
This position will oversee the Airport’s Landside Programs.
Provides strategic direction and leadership for AUS Landside Access Management functions and programs including curbside management, on- and off-site parking services, ground transportation services, rental car services, ride app services, and all landside access services.
Serves as the AUS liaison with City, State, and Federal agencies regarding landside access to the airport and transportation to and from the airport.
Overseas the licensing, permitting and inspection of the Airport’s Ground Transportation and TNC providers.
Makes recommendations to AUS senior management regarding mandated rules and regulations, operations, enforcement and legislation.
Provides guidance and recommendations on operational and administrative policies and procedures.
Develops partnerships and positive communications between AUS, community organizers, and business groups to promote positive public relations.
Ensures compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations regarding airport operations and security.
Represents AUS on boards, commissions, in meetings, etc. Interacts with airport tenants, ground transportation and parking providers, rental car agencies, ride app companies, and the public; ensures delivery of essential customer service and provides problem and conflict resolution. Conducts investigations and audits.
Represents the department in the development, administration, enforcement, project management, and negotiation of leases and other contracts and use of AUS land, facilities, equipment, and services; coordinates construction activities on landside properties.
DRIVING REQUIREMENT This position must travel between various locations as part of the regular job duties and the individual will be required to drive a City vehicle. Position will also be required to drive on the AOA.This position requires a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) within (120) days of hire. External New Hires must meet the City of Austin’s Driver Record Evaluation (DRE) requisite. To be considered for a driving position, applicants cannot have more than three moving violations or a total of six Driver Record Evaluation points within a period of thirty-six (36) months. Job Offer is contingent on having a driving record that meets the City’s Driver Record Evaluation Standards.
