About the Job:

The Landside Operations department is seeking four Airport Traffic Officer Supervisors with exceptional leadership abilities. The selected candidates will lead and manage a team responsible for enforcing airport traffic and parking regulations while ensuring outstanding customer service. They will provide technical assistance and guidance to team members, ensuring they have the tools and knowledge needed to engage with the public. Their strong communication and interpersonal skills will be essential for fostering productive working relationships throughout the Airport Traffic Officer team.

What You’ll Do:

Provides day-to-day leadership and works with staff to ensure a high-performing and a customer service-oriented work environment. Plans, facilitates, and oversees the development, improvement, and implementation of processes and procedures. Participates in the development of operations and strategies. Provides technical assistance to others and ensures the consistent application of parking and transportation enforcement activities and transportation permits. Oversees the selection and training of Airport Traffic Officers and Lead Airport Traffic Officers. Establishes work priorities and routines; assigns work assignments for terminal curbside, Lost & Found, and plans compliance inspections of for-hire and commercial vehicles. Interprets and communicates policies, procedures, and regulations. Investigates and resolves traffic and parking enforcement operation complaints. Plans and evaluates the performance of assigned staff; establishes performance requirements and professional development targets. Monitors performance and provides performance coaching improvement and team learning development. Recommends compensation and performance recognition; subject to management concurrence. Takes disciplinary action in accordance with work standards, procedures, and labor contract agreements. Ensures safe work practices and activities compliance with regulations and policy. Enforces safety precautions are taken and protective gears are used. Educates others on safety requirements and safe working habits; participates in the preparation of the operating budget; authorizes the purchase of materials; monitors expenditures to control costs and prepares and maintains records, logs, and reports. Collaborates with others including law enforcement, internal, and external stakeholders. Responds to emergency situations. Develops and implements work schedules, participates in meetings, and prepares and maintains records, logs and reports, and timecards. Regularly operates and drives Authority vehicles to transport Airport Traffic Officers and to conduct terminal parking structure inspections. Performs related duties as assigned.

 

The Skills We Are Looking For:

Establish and maintain collaborative effective working relationships with airport tenants, customers and the public. Judgement Analysis: Exercise independent judgment and initiative within established guidelines; analyze and make effective recommendations on issues. Leverage Technology: Operate a computer, prepare and maintain records; develop and implement appropriate procedures and controls. Policy understanding & communication: Understand, interpret, clarify and apply Authority policy and procedures; clearly, logically and persuasively present proposals and recommendations. Prepare clear, concise and comprehensive correspondence, reports, studies and other written materials.
