Summary of Duties \n\n\n\n\n

CGH has an exciting opportunity for a Airspace District Project Manager to join the CGH Team.\n

Purpose:\n

Serves as the primary Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Airspace District point of contact on project implementation and coordination related issues.\n

This position will work closely with and enhance the current project support entities within Planning and Requirements Groups (PRG), Engineering Services (ES), Technical Services (TS), System Support Centers (SSCs) and the Districts. The position is expected to serve the entire District and its Air Traffic Services Community. The Coordinator will be a NAS Program and Operations Subject Matter Expert (SME) and will serve as the joint liaison between the District Office\/SSC (ATS and AJW), Engineering Services, PRG, Headquarters program offices, local Airport District Office personnel, and local commercial airport entities.\n

Responsibilities:\n\nThe Coordinator will serve as the FAA\/Airspace District point of contact on project implementation and coordination related issues.\nServe as the primary FAA point of contact for the District, SSCs, TSOGs, PRG, AT Management, and ES on project related issues\nAssist with project coordination and communication efforts\nServe as the liaison for the District with the local airport authorities and FAA Airport District Offices (ADOs)\nParticipate in high-visibility or key FAA Stakeholder meeting in support of the District\nHelp all stakeholders speak with 'One FAA Voice\"\nProvide an operational overview to all Stakeholders on all District implementation activities\nFacilitate\/Coordinate operational and project implementation efforts at the District Level to maximize efficiency and resource utilization\nMaintain an integrated\/coordinated FAA Airspace District project plan including program\/project implementation activities, operational activities, airport activities and plans, etc.\nCoordinate project milestones, constraints, solutions, status of active and future high-visibility projects at the District level\nCompile, assess and analyze large data sets from various sources to identify coordination requirements, impacts, solutions, and recommendations\nParticipate in or lead efforts to align FAA resources at the District level to maximize efficiencies\nMinimize project implementation impacts on NAS operations\nImprove coordination and information sharing among all FAA stakeholders including, but not limited to, PRG (PMI, PIMs, Planners, Requirements, Resource Planners, EOSH); ES (Lead Engineers, PIPOCs); TSOG (NPMs\/NIMs, Ops Engineers); and SSCM\/SSC Coordinators\nAnticipate and plan for contingencies for project issues during design, construction and implementation that may adversely affect NAS operations\nActively explore District initiated ideas and suggestions that improve NAS and Airspace safety and efficiency\nSupport development of Operational Risk Management (ORM) documentation and plans\nStrengthen relationship of all FAA participants and stakeholders within the Airspace Districts\nEnsure effective communication among stakeholders\nEstablish a trustworthy relationship with district personnel and stakeholders\nSolicit customer feedback for improvements\nParticipate in FAA stakeholder functions\/meetings such as: quarterly, weekly, monthly, key stakeholder, key projects\n\n\n\n\n\n

Qualifications \n\n\n\n

Number of Years Experience Required:\n\n10 years of FAA experience or 10 years of demonstrated performance\/success in managing complex high cost programs. \n\n

Minimum Education and Certifications Required:\n\nBachelor's Degree\n\n
\n

Technical Skills Required:\n\nThe position requires strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities with demonstrated ability to compile, assess and analyze large volumes of data from multiple sources (including operational data, project data, and administrative data sources, etc.) to identify key coordination and integration requirements. \nThe position will work closely with Tech Services NAS Program Managers (NPMs) and PRG Portfolio Management and Integration (PMI) teams to effectively identify, coordinate and integrate activities within the District. \n\n

Computer Skills:\n\nMicrosoft Office Suite\n\n
\n

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:\n\nU.S. Citizen or person with valid U.S. Work Visa who has lived in the U.S. for the last 3 years or more.\nA team player but can work independently.\nFAA experience required.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nMulti-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly required to sit, stand, talk, hear and use a computer\/keyboard\/mouse for several hours on a daily basis.\nMay require occasional light lifting of up to 10 pounds.\n\n
