Requisition ID: 75158 Description Skyworks Solutions Inc. is a leading semiconductor and technology company driving the wireless networking revolution by connecting people, places, and things around the world. We are currently seeking a motivated student to join our AI group as a Summer intern in our Hillsboro, Oregon office for the Summer of 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research and development of speech and signal processing algorithms for edge devices. Responsibilities As an intern with our AI group, you will contribute to a range of tasks, including but not limited to: + Development of deep neural networks. + Analyzing the efficiency and performance of models. + Porting and testing neural networks on microprocessors and other constrained devices. + Developing memory and computationally efficient real-time audio algorithms based on neural networks. + Researching state-of-the-art neural networks in the audio domain. Required Experience and Skills + Experience with at least one deep learning framework (preferably TensorFlow). + Understanding of common neural network layer types and their mathematical operations. + Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C/C++ (experience with embedded programming is a plus). + Proficiency in Linux (Ubuntu). + Must be enrolled as a degree-seeking student. Preferably enrolled in a Masters or PhD program in a STEM related field involving programing, i.e. Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics. Bachelor's students with relevant professional experience or experience in projects applying neural networks to solve complex problems, and/or advance embedded programing skills. Desired Experience and Skills + Knowledge of bit-level representations for integer and float types. + Conceptual understanding of computer architecture, memory, and caching. + Familiarity with audio, speech, and music signals. + Commitment to writing clean, maintainable code using version control (Git). The typical pay range for an Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $26.00 - $47.50 per hour and for a Non-Engineering intern across the U.S. is currently USD $22.50 - $42.00 per hour. Starting pay will depend on level of education, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location.
