This position is part of our Advanced Safety & User Experience segment out of Troy, MI.

Summary:

Aptiv's Advanced Safety group pioneered the sensors, software, and systems that empower Adaptive Cruise Control, Collision Warning, Emergency Brake Assist, and Lane Keeping systems widely available to consumers today; and we continue to stretch the technology envelope with 360-degree sensing and advanced algorithms piloting automated vehicles.

The Object Fusion Team is located in our Troy, MI Tech Center. This team provides the most advanced sensor fusion and vehicle tracking algorithms within Aptiv that meet the requirement of L1-L3 autonomous driving system.

Responsibilities:

Explore the cutting-edge sensor fusion and vehicle tracking technologiesPrototype and evaluate the new sensor fusion and tracking technologiesWork closely with other global teams to generate the perception roadmapWork closely with other team members to kick off new advanced projectsDesign, integrate, test and release algorithms to internal and external customersHelp resolve the challenging perception problems from different global programsCollaborate with the downstream teams to support the L2+ and L3 autonomous driving system

Must Haves (Basic Qualifications):

1+ years' experience in sensor fusion and object trackingBachelors Degree in Engineering or relevant fieldWell understanding of tracking filters and data association algorithmsCritical & proactive thinker with excellent problem-solving, communication and teamwork skillsWell understanding of ASPICEProficient in C++ and MatlabExperience with version control and issue tracking on large collaborative projects (Plastic, Git, Jira, Jenkins or similar)Flexibility to change to different perception tasks

Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):

3+ years' experience in sensor fusion and object trackingPhD in Engineering or relevant fieldKnowledge of vehicle dynamicsKnowledge of Machine LearningFamiliar with PythonExperience with ROSExperience in code profiling and optimizationExperience in DevOps tools
