Algorithm & Research Engineer (Bothell, WA)
Contributes to the design, development and verification of algorithms. Contributes to the innovation of new products, using the latest technologies and resources.
Your role:
Work with a team to develop creative and innovative medical device algorithms to improve patient care and advance the field of resuscitation and critical care science through innovative product development and research.Develop signal processing algorithms to analyze electrocardiogram (ECG) and other waveforms for AEDs and advanced defibrillators/monitors.Participate in the development of digital signal processing software including requirements definition, mathematical modeling, design, implementation, testing, and documentation.Work with research, marketing, quality, regulatory and end users to refine requirements.Create and test products according to the specifications and algorithm development process.Document and develop software/tools to analyze new and existing algorithms.Document and develop software to verify and validate new and existing algorithms.Implement verification and validation procedures for algorithms.You're the right fit if:
BS/MS/PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, EE, ME, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent.Minimum 3 years experience in a medical device company, or equivalent.Experience in software and mathematical models to design, develop and validate custom algorithms.Working knowledge of MATLAB and good programming practices.Familiarity with building environments for compiling source code preferred.Good understanding of, and interest in, development of software and algorithms in a controlled regulated environment preferred.Experience with ECG analysis, 12-lead and algorithm development preferred.Familiarity with analog ECG acquisition hardware preferred.You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.How we work together
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

The pay range for this position in (Bothell, WA) is $110,000 to $177,000
The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.
In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.
