Algorithmic Trading Technology Lead (Director)
Citi Equities Technology organization is looking for a senior, hands-on technology lead for its algorithmic trading applications in the North America region. The senior technologist in this role will be responsible for day-to day delivery of algorithmic trading products ensuring architectural and design consistency across regions, adherence to latency targets, maintaining high standards on code quality and continuous improvement of delivery processes like automated testing, dev ops & SRE. This role will provide hands-on coding and design leadership to the engineering team and work with other Electronic Trading leads on setting design direction for our global low-latency trading frameworks. The role requires specialized skills in low-latency trading, zero garbage techniques and performance tuning of OS & network interactions. The technologist in this role will work in close collaboration with traders, quant researchers & product development teams on design of new features, book of work prioritization and risk management across the platform. Prior experience in building algorithmic trading systems such as benchmark algos, smart order routers, dark pools is necessary along with a strong understanding of market microstructure & regulatory regimes for the US markets. **Responsibilities** : + End to End design, development and support of high-performance algorithmic trading systems. + Partner with business users, quant researchers and clients on product development + Manage and support a team of senior developers & QA specialists. + Continuous improvements of SDLC processes including Agile delivery, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines & support processes. + Envision, design and implement test cases for trading functions. **Qualifications** : + Minimum 12 years of relevant experience with strong technical knowledge either Java or C++ Demonstrable expertise in low-latency trading, zero garbage techniques and performance tuning of OS & network interactions. + Previous experience in developing E-Trading & algorithmic trading platforms. + Strong understanding of market microstructure & regulatory regimes for the US markets. + Strong understanding of modern SDLC practices including Agile methodologies, automated testing techniques, continuous integration processes & devops. + Prior experience in working with global technology teams. + Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, set goals and meet deadlines. + Strong communication skills with a demonstrable ability to present & grasp complex concepts in a multicultural environment. **Education** : + Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience ------------------------------------------------------ **Job Family Group:** Technology ------------------------------------------------------ **Job Family:** Applications Development ------------------------------------------------------ **Time Type:** Full time ------------------------------------------------------ **Primary Location:** Jersey City New Jersey United States ------------------------------------------------------ **Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:** $170,000.00 - $300,000.00 In addition to salary, Citi’s offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
