ALM Strategy Analyst Sr.
Description Responsible for supporting the ALM positioning and Hedging Programs of Huntington’s balance sheet, through the generation and analysis of forward-looking forecasts, modeled macro-economic conditions, and thorough understanding the bank’s balance sheet composition. Reporting to the ALM Strategy Manager, the senior analyst will provide data driven insights to ensure that the bank’s earnings and interest rate risk profile remain within the risk appetite and other committee objectives. This dynamic position involves analyzing, developing, and assisting oversight of the banks hedging programs in collaboration with Treasury Capital Markets, Treasury Finance, ALM Modeling and ALM Analytics & FTP teams. The individual will also play key roles in areas such as IRR analysis and review, peer, market, and product research, estimating risk adjusted return on capital, establishing rate playbooks, generating early warning indicators, aiding reporting initiatives to ALCO or other Senior Committees, and answering Balance Sheet Management questions to key stakeholders such as corporate strategy, corporate development, and investor relations Basic Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or related field + Minimum 3 years of Experience in Asset Liability Management, Derivatives, Investment Portfolio Management / Analytics, or Investor Relations Preferred Qualifications + Master’s degree in finance or business administration (MBA) + Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel, PowerPoint + Understanding of financial markets and familiarity with economics of Hedging instruments (swaps, floors, swaptions, basis hedges) + Knowledge of Banking Concepts such as NII, EVE, OCI, RWA, and ROTCE + Strong ability to deliver analytics for data-driven business questions, that will be presented to non-technical audiences and or C-Suite executives + Industry Certifications such as Financial Risk Manager (FRM), or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) + Excellent organizational, project, and time management skills Exempt Status: (Yes = not eligible for overtime pay) (No = eligible for overtime pay) Yes Workplace Type: Office Our Approach to Office Workplace Type Certain positions outside our branch network may be eligible for a flexible work arrangement. Compensation Range: 77,000.00 -154,000.00 Annual Salary The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position.
