Regions Hospital has an opportunity for a per diem Advanced (ALS) Instructor position.
The Advanced (ALS) Instructor is primarily responsible instruction of advanced level EMS courses, with the ability to play a lead role. This position instructs courses independently and cooperatively with per diem instructors. This position will instruct lay-rescuer, CPR, EMR, EMT, AEMT and Paramedic and some critical care level courses. The instructor must be able to develop curriculum at both the basic and advanced level and be able and willing to instruct at the basic level as needed. Advanced (ALS) Instructor duties include participation in mandatory development and preparatory meetings, preparation and clean-up of classroom and skills materials/equipment including driving to off-site locations, evaluation of material and active participation in the improvement of this material, taking a lead role when appropriate, and supporting program development and special projects.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
2 years of teaching or mentoring experience prior to being hired. 2 year full-time (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in pre-hospital, emergency or critical care settingsLicensure/ Registration/Certification:
Possess a valid driver’s license and maintenance of a clean driving record in accordance to Regions Hospital standards and policies Current NREMT, Minnesota or Wisconsin paramedic license –or-- Current Minnesota or Wisconsin nurse licensureKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
