Job Description: The Associate will play a critical role in supporting the growth and development of our investor base while contributing to the firm’s capital-raising initiatives. This individual will work closely with senior team members, including Managing Partners and other stakeholders, to cultivate relationships with prospective investors, maintain existing investor relationships, and generate new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will be entrepreneurial, client-focused, highly organized, and have a strong understanding of financial markets and investment products. Furthermore, the associate will support the fund with research, sourcing of new investment opportunities within Polymath's equity and credit strategies, portfolio management, and fund-related reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Investor Relationship Management:Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with existing investors and prospective investors. Act as a trusted point of contact for investors, educating investors on the future of alternatives in Latin America. Address investor inquiries, concerns, and providing portfolio updates. Assist in the preparation of quarterly investor reports, performance reviews, and other investor communication.
Capital Raising:
Support capital-raising efforts by identifying and pursuing new investment opportunities and investors. Work closely with Managing Partners to pitch investment products to prospective investors. Help coordinate meetings, presentations, and roadshows to introduce the firm’s investment strategies to potential investors. Track fundraising progress and ensure proper follow-up with potential investors.
Investment Research & Analysis:
Conduct in-depth financial analysis and research on potential investment opportunities across both equity and credit platforms Analyze market trends, company traction, and financials to support investment decisions. Assist in the preparation of investment memos and presentations for internal teams and investors. Maintain and update financial models, including valuation and performance tracking
Portfolio Management Support:
Assist Managing Partners with the management of investment portfolios. Monitor and track portfolio performance. Prepare reports on portfolio performance and attribution for both internal and external stakeholders.
Continuous Learning & Professional Development:
Stay up to date with industry trends, market developments, and new investment strategies. Participate in training and development programs to enhance knowledge of alternatives and asset management practices.
