Hexcel is currently seeking an Aluminum Packer for our Casa Grande, AZ, USA location. Start rate:  $23.56 Per Hour during the New Hire Orientation Period – normally 90 calendar days, then increases to $25.73 Per Hour.   This position is on Swing shift (3:00PM to 11:00PM, Monday – Friday + O/T as required) and pays a $1.25 per hour shift premium.

The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:

Inspects and packages aluminum honeycomb per customer requirements.  Performs any MRP transactions as required. Utilizing knowledge about honeycomb characteristics and proper packaging techniques, inspects and packages honeycomb to customer specifications.  Assures that warranty claims due to poor packing will be minimal.Uses a tape measure, dial caliper, 6 inch rule and micrometer.  Uses visual inspections and sales order review specification list to ensure product meets customer specifications.Uses a computer and calculator to compute and enter data for MRP transactions.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent.Minimum of one year experience required preferably in manufacturing.  Minimum of 6 months manufacturing experience in the Hexcel Casa Grande facility may substitute in lieu of one year experience.  Previous Hexcel experience preferred.Must be proficient in use of tape measure and ruler. Basic working knowledge of computer data entry function required.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
