POSITION SUMMARY
The Graduate School of Education (GSE) seeks a full-time Alumni Relations Officer to support the External Relations Team. Reporting to the Director of Alumni Relations, the Alumni Relations Officer will engage directly with alumni volunteers, faculty, students, and other University colleagues to develop, implement, and evaluate activities, programs, services, and communications that reach, serve, and engage GSE alumni. This position will assist with marketing, planning or managing alumni programs, events, and other alumni initiatives.
CORE DUTIES:
Engage alumni volunteers and coordinate volunteer-led projects. Develop contacts and maintain relationships with alumni, faculty, students, staff, and vendors. Plan and implement a range of alumni events and programs. Collaborate and coordinate with other departments and schools to support alumni engagement goals or initiatives. Serve as the GSE Alumni Relations representative at various regional and national events. Facilitate vendor contracts and ensure the quality of delivered products and services. Participate in budget planning for alumni events and programs. Evaluate alumni programs and services for customer satisfaction. Serve as the GSE Alumni Relations representative at various regional and national events. Support communication and outreach efforts, including the alumni newsletter, social media, website updates, and other marketing materials.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree and three years of relevant experience ( five years preferred but not required) or combination of education and relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to represent the university professionally both internally and externally. Demonstrated experience with volunteer development and oversight. Strong interpersonal, team, and leadership skills; tact and flexibility in working with diverse population groups. Sound judgment, the ability to analyze problems quickly and accurately, and the ability to develop practical and effective solutions to solve a variety of problems. Computer proficiency and the ability to learn new systems.Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check prior to working at Stanford University.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Occasional work on evenings and weekends. Flexible work is available – this position is hybrid-eligible. The individual will be expected to work on Stanford’s main campus 2-3 days per week or more depending on operational and programmatic demands. May work outdoors. Some local or domestic travel.The expected pay range for this position is $82,571 to $95,000 per annum.
