Job Description

The role of the Housekeeping Supervisor is to ensure that the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms, public areas, back of house and landings meet Omni four star/four diamond standards.

Responsibilities Follows Omni’s Moments of Service or Forbes Service standards as applicable.Inspect the cleaning and servicing of guestrooms and public areasAssign special projects as directed by the Director of HousekeepingReport any needed repairs or discrepancies of guest roomsEnsure that all Guest Room Attendants have appropriate supplies and linensAssist in the cleaning of guest rooms when necessaryAssist in processing AM and PM room status reportsEnsure that the Guest Room Attendant’s linen cart is neat and well organizedEnsure that linen closets on guest room floors are completely stockedMaintain supply cage stock, neat and clean at all timesMust have all guest rooms punched in via the phone after completionEnsure VIP rooms are inspected ASAPEnsure check out/vacated rooms are a priorityKnowledge of hotel, facilities and eventsTo ensure hotel, guest and associates are maintained in a safe and secure environmentCheck vacant rooms verify status and update status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift.Check DND rooms in accordance with hotel procedures and verify status"Mark" dirty sheets of randomly selected assigned rooms and follow up to ensure Room Attendants have changed bed sheets.  Counsel Room Attendants on any discrepanciesComplete work orders for maintenance repairs and submit to Engineering. Contact Engineering directly for urgent repairsConduct training of staff as assignedMonitor and handle guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfactionProvide feedback on staff performance to manager. Report disciplinary problems to manager and participate in the counseling of employeesPrepare VIP rooms  Qualifications Previous housekeeping and/or other relevant hotel experience requiredAble to maintain 4-Diamond and 4-Star level cleanliness standardsAble to work with management on special projectsAble to set priorities for your section and provide feedback to others that enhances performanceStrong attention to detail, sense of urgencyAbility to work and perform effectively in a fast-paced roleMaintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performanceMust be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidaysMove, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 75 pounds without assistance. Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift
