Job Description

The Nurse Ambassador Program is an integral offering in the AbbVie Patient Services organization. Ambassadors are registered nurses who have primary responsibility/accountability for providing appropriate product-related training, drug access support, disease state education, and general adherence support to patients prescribed an AbbVie product. Each nurse Ambassador may interact with enrolled patients by telephone, approved email and text, approved virtual platforms, in patient home settings, and/or in a public setting that would be conducive to education and ensure protection of privacy. These interactions are conducted one-on-one between the patient and Ambassador, but may also include family members, friends or caregivers of patient, with patients deciding how and whether to participate. Note: nurse Ambassadors are not permitted to provide medical advice.

 

Responsible for the direct management of the AbbVie Ambassador District Managers, as well as oversight of the contracted DMs and nurse Ambassadors in collaboration with vendor partner Project Lead/Regional Manager, across multiple disease states and products. Provide leadership to and motivate direct reports to ensure they contribute to the team in a strategic, meaningful way, as well as ensuring that they deliver to deadlines and objectives.Responsible for ensuring the strategic focus, alignment, project management, and tactical execution for assigned geographic area.Participate in setting overall strategy for nurse Ambassadors, translating strategies into execution plans, and ensuring Regional implementation.Conduct extensive data analysis to assess performance and identify opportunities for growth and/or improvementComprehensively understand market dynamics, patient insights, key drivers and trends; anticipate opportunities and trends and provide potential approaches in developing strategies and tactics to the senior leadership team.Manage assigned travel and budget within OPPF standardsBuild a highly positive culture that provides the work environment necessary to support the nurses in delivering the best possible patient treatment experience.Proactively identify, evaluate and establish impact of partnerships and collaborations with internal and external stakeholders.Stay current on policy developments and discuss with cross functional partners the likely impact on patients and service delivery. Ensure adherence to all corporate and divisional compliance polices and guidelines within the assigned geographic area.Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers to ensure understanding of program and appropriate pull through with sales force is executed. Conduct any additional duties as assigned by program management and approved through divisional review and approval processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree minimum of 5 years health, sciences, pharmacy or business-related field preferred or relevant and equivalent industry experience required.Proven and established record of working with or within Community Based Organizations or other patient health-related, community focused organizations providing services to targeted populationsMinimum of 7 years of experience in the healthcare (or related) industryKnowledge of applicable regulations and standards affecting work area supportedAn essential requirement of your position is to satisfy all applicable health care industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements to gain and maintain entry into facilities and organizations that are in your assigned territory. You must also be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain these credentials.These HCIR credentialing requirements may include, but are not limited to, background checks, drug screens, proof of immunization/vaccination for various diseases, fingerprinting and specific licenses required by individual state or cities. The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range.
