Summary
Position Summary:
As a floater the Medical Assistant travels to various practices within the LifeBridge Health system’s geographical region to provide both front and back office assistance Under the general supervision of practice leadership, in partnership with Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), works as a part of the leadership team to provides safe, therapeutic, and efficient care and services to patients. Assists in direct patient care, performs treatments, administers medications (if qualified and appropriately supervised), and instructs patients and their families in appropriate care, as directed by their provider. The Medical Assistant is an active team participant in the patient-centered practice by aiding in the development, implementation, and execution of office workflows that support patient centered care and experience. Performs administrative tasks as required. All duties are performed within the scope of practice for Medical Assistants by the Maryland Department of Health.

Candidates must have graduated from a medical assisting program (maybe a one-year certificate or diploma program or a two-year associate degree program) that is accredited by either:
The Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) The Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) Candidates must show proof of post program externship
