The Ambulatory Pharmacy Technician Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that the pharmacy technician role is taken into account for workflow improvements and strategic initiatives across the service line. Activities that are overseen include prior authorizations; troubleshooting and resolving billing rejections; helping patients understand insurance coverage; facilitating financial assistance by screening patients for eligibility and obtaining supporting documentation; ensuring timely filling of prescription orders; documenting patient interactions within the EMR. Qualifications EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING Required qualifications: 1. High school diploma or equivalent degree.2. Current State of IL pharmacy technician license in good standing 3. Minimum of 5+ years of pharmacy technician experience 4. Supervisory technician experience of 1+ years. 5. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Preferred qualification: 1. Previous work in ambulatory pharmacy setting preferred. 2. Extensive EPIC electronic medical records (EMR) system knowledge/experience preferred. 3.
