Ambulatory Process Owner - Epic
**SPECIAL NOTES** We are building out a large team for Epic functionality. We will need multiple roles filled between December through April for skilled people with extensive Epic build experience (installed and being installed). These are hybrid roles designed for those in the DFW area, as they will be onsite at least once per week. We may consider further distances outside of DFW, but would need to be onsite once per month if in Texas or quarterly if out of state. **JOB SUMMARY** The Process Owner for Ambulatory Applications will oversee the planning, implementation, and management of software applications supporting ambulatory care, with a primary focus on Epic. This individual will collaborate with Ambulatory clinical and operational stakeholders, interface with technical experts within and outside Ambulatory applications, and utilize their project management expertise to drive initiatives from inception to completion. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE** + **Portfolio Management:** + Lead the strategy, prioritization, and execution of ambulatory application projects. + Maintain a portfolio roadmap aligning with clinical, operational, and IT objectives. + Facilitate regular review of application inventory and maintain application health scorecard. + **Project Planning and Execution:** + Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for Epic and third-party ambulatory applications. + Oversee the integration and implementation of third-party applications, ensuring compatibility with existing systems. + Partner with Project Managers to monitor project progress, manage risks, and resolve issues to ensure timely and within-budget delivery. + **Stakeholder Collaboration:** + Work closely with clinical and operational leaders to identify and prioritize IT needs. + Partner with IT, vendors, and other departments to ensure seamless system integration and functionality. + Act as a liaison between technical teams and business users to translate requirements and objectives effectively. + **Technical Expertise:** + Stay updated on advancements and development roadmap for Epic and other ambulatory care technologies. + Provide guidance on system configurations, workflows, and enhancements. + Ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies, and regulations. + **Leadership and Mentorship:** + Serve as subject matter expert in portfolio and provide support and mentorship to junior team members. + Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. **KEY SUCCESS FACTORS** + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred). + 5+ years of experience in IT project management or portfolio management, with a focus on healthcare applications. + Proven expertise with Epic Ambulatory, including certifications (preferred). + Strong understanding of third-party ambulatory applications and their integration with Epic. + Ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. + Strong problem-solving skills and a results-oriented approach. + Prior experience in Service Management, ITIL or Service Now required. + In-depth knowledge of ambulatory care workflows and healthcare IT standards. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly. + Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. **BENEFITS** Our competitive benefits package includes the following + Immediate eligibility for health and welfare benefits + 401(k) savings plan with dollar-for-dollar match up to 5% + Tuition Reimbursement + PTO accrual beginning Day 1 Note: Benefits may vary based upon position type and/or level **QUALIFICATIONS** + EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification + EXPERIENCE - 5 Years of Experience As a health care system committed to improving the health of those we serve, we are asking our employees to model the same behaviours that we promote to our patients.
