We have an opening for an experienced and dedicated Full Time Medical Assistant to join the team at our Surgery Team at the 361 W Chestnut office. The schedule is every other weekend 6:30a - 3pm and 8a-430pm. 2 weekends per month
How You'll Contribute:
We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn’t specifically our “job.” In general, the Medical Assistant is responsible for:
Assisting as scrub technician in the OR Proper sterile and aseptic technique and setup/use of equipment Preparing rooms for all procedures while ensuring necessary instruments, supplies and equipment are available Technical skill in the care and use of instruments, supplies and equipment used during a surgical procedure Proper sanitary maintenance of equipment according to OSHA guidelines Using autoclave and clean per protocol Providing ultrasound guidance under physician’s supervision during transfers Comforting patients by anticipating anxieties, answering questions, providing supportWhat You'll Bring:
The skills and education we need are:
Sterile Processing preferred Formal MA education/certification preferred Prior experience in an OR/Ambulatory Surgical setting Experience in women's health (e.g., OB/GYN) preferred Ability to access, input, and retrieve information from a computer Professionalism and strong customer service skills a must
