Position Description

Goldman Sachs Asset Management is looking to hire an analyst or associate to join its Risk, Structuring & Finance team in Tokyo. The position offers an excellent career opportunity for a candidate seeking exposure to a varied portfolio across the full capital spectrum.  The role involves working closely with divisional leadership as well as regional and global CFOs, to help drive the business and key initiatives.  The candidate should be a highly-motivated individual with a passion for financial markets who is looking to challenge him/herself from Day 1.

Principal Responsibilities

Facilitate deal execution, deal closing, portfolio management and harvesting activitiesCoordinate structuring of new investments and help manage Federation review of the business opportunityWork closely with fund management team to facilitate fund capital call, cash distribution, investor and regulatory reporting on fund performanceRepresent Goldman Sachs Asset Management and liaise with internal groups and external advisors to help resolve any legal, compliance, tax, accounting and operational issues.Manage ad hoc requests from senior management, including data management, reporting and presentations.Support senior members on asset management activities and reviewsFacilitate internal and regulatory driven information requestsHelp manage various challenges the business faces

Basic Qualifications:

1-3 years of experience in financial service industry (principal or structured investment in particular)Strong financial analysis and accounting knowledge on multiple asset classesStrong skills with MS Excel and PowerPointExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work across internal and external teamsSelf-starter with strong desire to succeed in a fast paced, high pressure, results driven environmentAbility to multi-task with strong attention to details
