Based in our Elyria, Ohio location, you will support the design and implementation of automated manufacturing technologies and processes in a fast-paced CNC machining environment. This role will help design, plan, and deliver manufacturing system solutions that optimize cost, capital investment, and performance of highly automated machining cells. In addition to designing system layouts and workflows to minimize waste, this position will be responsible for creating and maintaining standard operating procedures, time studies/part routings, and driving continuous improvements.

**IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE TO:**
+ Support the design, development, and installation of new equipment and manufacturing processes while maintaining project schedules and budgets.
+ Optimize layouts, workflows, and processes to minimize waste, reduce cycle times, and improve overall productivity.
+ Conduct time and motion studies, process simulations, and data analysis to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
+ Create and maintain production routings, standard operating procedures (SOPs), tool and fixture lists, and work instructions for new equipment and processes.
+ Serve as support for assigned manufacturing responsibilities.
+ Work with cross-functional teams to identify and address current manufacturing challenges across multiple product lines.
+ Perform manufacturing process FMEA activities, and determine root cause of failures using various methods (i.e. Design of Experiment, Statistical Process Control, Root Cause Analysis, A3).
+ Facilitate and participate in kaizen events, workshops, and value stream mapping exercises to identify waste elimination opportunities in various processes and recommend improvement actions.
+ Other duties as assigned
**FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:**
+ Associates Degree in Industrial Engineering AND five (5) years of relevant Industrial Engineering experience (continuous improvement, layout, kaizens, 6-sigma/lean)
+ Experience using CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks
+ Process routing maintenance and time studies experience
+ Experience in optimizing manufacturing processes and layouts for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
+ Medium to Advanced experience using MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
+ Good organizational, project management, and presentation skills to interact with all levels within the organization and with suppliers and customers.
+ Strong analytical skills and ability to recognize and solve simple and complex problems in manufacturing system design
+ Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced engineering environment.

**PREFERRED QUALIFICATION THAT SET YOU APART:**
+ Appropriate knowledge, demonstrated competence, and experience in manufacturing machining technologies and related industries.
+ Practitioner of LEAN manufacturing and application of LEAN tools.
+ Ability to work independently without supervision
+ Ability to collaborate on a cross-functional team
