Customer Advanced Manufacturing & Launch Leaders (CAMLL) are responsible for leading the development of the manufacturing process for a new model product within their respective manufacturing plant. They are the single point of contact representing their plant’s organization (MP&L, Maintenance, Quality, HR, Industrial Engineering, etc) within the overall Program Core Team, as well as representing the Program within the plant. They are responsible to ensure proper use and compliance to Visteon defined procedures and tools, support of team meetings and completion of deliverables as outlined below. Processes and Tools:
VPDS defines all the required New Model Product Development deliverables and procedures. · Enterproj shall be used to communicate, report and store all program deliverables as defined by VPDS
Roles and Responsibilities:
Estimation of manufacturing costs; responses to requests for quotes, confirmation studies & PICs
Investment, BWS & Launch costs
Track program costs versus approval levels throughout program development
Preparation of funding requests (PAR) and submission for approval
Preparation of documentation required to invoice for Customer Funded Tooling
Monitoring of program costs versus gate 2 commitments
Development and maintenance of overall program timing plan for manufacturing activities
Lead design for manufacturing activities & perform Manufacturing Feasibility assessments
Review lessons learned for similar products and incorporate as appropriate
Lead the manufacturing process design and implementation, including equipment specification, purchase, acceptance, installation and maintenance
Ensure equipment is available and capable according to program timing
Ensure proper implementation of manufacturing standards
Lead all Manufacturing APQP activities, submit customer documentation and Interface with Customer Supplier Quality representatives as required
Coordinate prototype and launch build activities at the Plant (Development, DV, Pilot and serial production) as agreed to in the overall sample delivery plan
Development of process documentation o Process flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, Operator instructions o Complete Part II of SCIF
Lead process capability studies
Lead layout inspections & Functional Verification Test Plan
Ensure compliance of applicable EHS manufacturing processes requirements
Manage the Plant’s Change Control process
Complete Gauge R&R studies
Ensure PPAP documentation is prepared appropriately
Develop safe launch plans
Updated the Launch Readiness Summary report in eP Plant Tab once in fortnight based on RIO Meetings outcome related to Mfg. Launch and update the G/Y/R status in project team report.
Monitor launch performance
Update lessons learned
Transition New Model Programs to Current Model team post launch
