Americas Compliance Policy Governance Lead, Vice President

The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details. **Job Summary:** This position will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of MUFG’s Policy Governance function for Americas Compliance policy documentation and will report to the Global Policy & Governance Group within the Global Financial Crimes Division. **Major Responsibilities:** + Executing policy governance processes, such as document creation/renewal, exceptions management, policy approval, issuance, and retirement for Americas Compliance policy documentation; + Maintaining an internal document tracker to monitor and report on the phases on the document management lifecycle; + Overseeing execution of policy change management; + Preparing the Americas Compliance policy governance newsletter and other internal communications; + Maintaining the repository of Americas Compliance policy documentation; + Collecting and analyzing metrics related to the development and administration of Americas compliance policy documentation and preparing management reporting; + Reviewing policy documentation (e.g., policies, standards, and procedures) for internal consistency and clarity and performing basic proofing and copy-editing; + Assisting with creation of compliance standards and procedures; + Developing and maintaining working relationships with vertical and horizontal partners, including Americas Compliance subject matter experts, Legal, and Internal Audit; and + Interfacing with relevant regulators with respect to Americas Compliance policy documentation and related processes. In this role, the successful candidate will work with other MUFG policy governance functions within and outside the Americas and may also support other areas of Global Policy & Governance, depending on skillset and personal interests. **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required; + Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in banking or other financial institution setting; + Direct experience with policy governance matters, preferably in the compliance risk management space; + Strong communication and writing skills; + Professional line-editing and copy-editing experience preferred; + Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities; + Team player and ability to work collaboratively; + Prior experience with managing teams; + Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships across multiple departments and work horizontally across teams and at various levels in the organizational hierarchy; and + Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). The typical base pay range for this role is between $105k - $164k depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
