AMHS Software Engineer
**Job Description** Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS) team supports the factory with automated delivery and storage of lots across the factory. We are looking for a highly driven, passionate, and disciplined individual to join our team as an AMHS Software Engineer. The successful candidate will serve as site expert for a designated set of AMHS Material Controls Systems, including representing/leading integrated needs in cross-functional and cross-site teams. High attention to detail will be expected to prevent unintended changes or process variations. As issues arise, you will be required to troubleshoot and provide global support including off hours on a rotational on-call assignment basis. As an AMHS Software Engineer your responsibilities will be, but not limited to: + Integrates, tests, installs, configures, and/or supports Factory automation hardware (AMHS) and software systems, coordinating factory requirements, maps them to automation systems capabilities, and recommends technical solutions. + Generate metrics to measure overall/key areas of equipment performance (KPIs) and analysis of such metrics would be used to drive effective CIPs across the operation + Drives continuous improvement efforts to meet automation systems health goals, as well as emerging capability needs. + Serves as site expert for a designated set of automation systems, including representing integrated needs in cross-functional and cross-site teams. + Position may include some software development/scripting of related enhancements, supplemental systems, and/or support and monitoring tools. + Support a 24x7 high availability automation environment and be part of an on-call rotation group outside of normal business hours. **Qualifications** The ideal candidate should have the following skills: + Strong teamwork, customer engagement, customer obsession and negotiation skills. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Communicate complex problems clearly aligning key stakeholders and demonstrate leadership capabilities. + Strong troubleshooting skills and use of Model Based Problem Solving. + Understanding of MA/IT Process Management. + Takes initiative and work effectively in a team and remote environment. + Self-starter, capable of leading and managing complex problems, drive and lead cross-functional teams and ability to lead taskforces and projects. + Resourceful, creative and innovative in coming out with ideas to resolve issues. + Basic to intermediate programming/any shell scripting skills and data extraction skills including but not limited to SQL query for Oracle/Microsoft database. + Good knowledge of basic UNIX commands/other command line utilities. + Good knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server. Education: + Bachelor's Degree in IT/Computer Science/Computer Engineering, or a similar discipline and 3+ years of related experience. Preferred Qualifications: + Experience with UNIX and VB Scripting + Experience working on Microsoft Windows Server + Proficiency with data analytical/statistical tools such as JMP, Excel/Pivot Tables, SQL, Tableau, PowerBI, Log Analyzer etc. + Familiarity/knowledge of Project Management Principles, Systems, and/or relevant certifications + Factory Business Acumen demonstrated through working successfully with customers. + Factory Automation system knowledge + Project Management and Lean Six Sigma method. **Inside this Business Group** As the world's largest chip manufacturer, Intel strives to make every facet of semiconductor manufacturing state-of-the-art -- from semiconductor process development and manufacturing, through yield improvement to packaging, final test and optimization, and world class Supply Chain and facilities support.
