Job Type: AML Analyst
Location: Hamilton, NJ
Compensation: $30-345/hr
A leading organization is looking to add an AML Analyst for an upcoming project. The candidate will work on BSA consulting engagements. The ideal candidate will have 1+ year of experience working as a BSA analyst from banking institutions.
What you’ll do:
+ Monitoring Transactions: Regularly review financial transactions to identify suspicious activities, such as money laundering or terrorist financing
+ Conducting Investigations: Investigate flagged transactions to determine their legitimacy. This may involve reviewing documentation, interviewing customers, and consulting with law enforcement
+ Compliance: Ensure the financial institution complies with regulations set by government agencies like FinCEN and OFAC
+ Reporting: Prepare detailed reports on findings and recommendations for senior management and regulators
+ Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, such as compliance, legal, and risk management, to coordinate efforts to combat money laundering
+ Training: Educate other employees on AML regulations, procedures, and best practices
What you’ll bring:
+ Have 1+ year(s) of experience as a BSA analyst at banking institutions
+ Strong analytical, writing, and time management skills
+ SAR writing experience
+ Have experience with working in a smaller community and commercial banks is a plus
+ Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (“CAMS”) designation is also a plus
