As an AML Compliance Manager within the GFCC program, you will play a pivotal role in executing the AML and Sanctions Risk Assessment, managing regulatory changes, and providing support on governance and reporting. Your responsibilities will include identifying and assessing changes to AML and CTF laws and regulations impacting EEA locations to ensure compliance with evolving regulatory requirements. You will author and coordinate the creation of AML and Sanctions Risk Assessment documents  as part of the Global AML and Sanctions firmwide Risk Assessment Program.


Job responsibilities: 

Identify and assess changes to AML and CTF laws and regulations impacting EEA locations to ensure compliance with evolving regulatory requirements. Author and coordinate the creation of AML and Sanctions Risk Assessment documents for the consumer bank in Germany as part of the Global AML and Sanctions firmwide Risk Assessment Program. Collaborate with the business and other Compliance groups, including the Money Laundering Reporting Officer, to gather input and secure approval for the AML and Sanctions Risk Assessment documents. Assist in responding to or resolving queries from Quality Control, Quality Review, Internal Audit, External Audit, Regulators, or other stakeholders related to the AML and Sanctions Risk Assessment documents. Support coordination with Audit, regulators, and internal/external reviewers during testing and examinations to address requests and report inquiries. Contribute to GFCC governance, periodic MLRO, and regulatory reporting activities by developing committee materials, acting as secretariat when appropriate, and providing administrative support. Oversee and manage GFCC Germany procedures and other guidance documents.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills 

Strong knowledge of the German regulatory financial crime requirements (knowledge of consumer banking desired), with focus on regulatory change management. Degree level education (or equivalent) or direct relevant work experience Strong analytical, organizational, time management, and planning skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills necessary to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization. Proficient written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to concisely summarize complex topics, particularly in the context of regulatory changes. Proficiency in German and English.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills 

Experience in digital banking. Experience in assessing risk and making informed decisions related to ML/TF, with the ability to escalate when necessary, especially in light of regulatory changes. Ability to make decisions, multitask, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on adapting to regulatory changes.
