What you’ll do:

The AML Controls Manager (L9 Director) will work with first and second line of defense stakeholders on AML controls: inventory, design, operating effectiveness, coverage, oversight, and monitoring. Additionally, AML Controls Manager will develop metrics reporting to provide senior and executive management insight into our AML risk posture. AML Controls Manager will use new or existing tools to streamline reporting and processes to make analysis, data collection and reporting streamlined, repeatable and sustainable.

How you’ll succeed:

Contribute to the identification, documentation and maintenance of AML-related controls impacting CIBC USDevelop a standardized AML controls library that can be used/leveraged by lines of business, US AML, EAML or other functions so that AML controls are consistent, complete, and accurate.Automate the process to generate US-impacting AML controls with known deficiencies.Develop and formalize a 1-, 3- and 5-year strategic plan related to AML controls.Perform gap assessment of AML program pillars versus procedures and controls to identify control gaps.Perform gap assessment of AML Standards versus procedures and controls to identify control gaps.Perform gap assessment of AML Framework and Policy versus controls to identify control gaps.Monthly, identify US-impacting controls with known deficiencies. Make sure lines of business have compensating controls in place to mitigate risks.Monthly, provide input into monthly AML reporting related to controls: volume, effectiveness, comprehensiveness, etc.Quarterly, provide input into monthly AML reporting related to controls: volume, effectiveness, comprehensiveness, etc.Annually, provide input into monthly AML reporting related to controls: volume, effectiveness, comprehensiveness, etc.

Who you are:

Ten (10) years of experience in a risk management, finance, audit, or governance role in a financial services organizationBachelor’s degree in accounting/business or related field requiredHighly motivated, self-starter; able to work in a fast paced, results driven environment, and comfortable working in non-routine situationsAbility to articulate complex issues concisely and communicate effective and comfortably with senior leadershipExcellent relationship building and stakeholder management skillsAbility to execute tasks under aggressive targets and effectively manage to change in planStrong initiative, energy and confidence completing projects with limited supervisionValues matter to you. At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $160,000 - $200,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
