As an **Ammonia Refrigeration Technician** you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial refrigeration systems that use ammonia as the refrigerant. **Apply now** if you meet the qualifications listed below! **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:** · Operate, test, troubleshoot, and repair ammonia refrigeration systems and related equipment, including boilers, hot water, domestic cold water, and compressed air systems. · Perform planned maintenance on ammonia refrigeration and utility systems. · Operate and maintain spiral freezers. · Ensure material integrity of refrigeration and utility rooms in line with best practices. · Conduct ammonia system pump downs for repairs and replacements of refrigeration parts. · Complete documentation, including PSM-related changes, work orders, and operation notes. · Automate and digitize maintenance, refrigeration, and ammonia records. · Perform daily rounds and inspections of ammonia system temperatures and conditions. · Conduct chemical tests on boilers and condenser towers. · Adhere to all company policies, including safety, GMPs, and SOPs. · Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance/Refrigeration Manager. **REQUIRMENTS:** · Minimum of 2 years of ammonia refrigeration experience in an industrial refrigeration environment and food manufacturing facility. · Must pass a respirator fit test, pulmonary function test, and complete a 24-hour hazmat class. · Ammonia Certification from GCAP or RETA is required. · EPA Type II certification is required. **Salary: $45 to $55 per hour.** Adecco provides one of the most comprehensive benefits packages in the industry to contract workers.
