Ammonia Refrigeration Technician

Summary:
This position will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting ammonia, HVAC, boiler, and refrigeration systems at multiple seafood processing facilities in Alaska, Canada, Washington, and Oregon. This includes technical work such as maintenance, calibration, installation, and repairs. This position will utilize Process Safety Management (PSM) to reduce hazard risks and ensure operational excellence of ammonia and refrigeration systems.
*This is a temporary position with an anticipated duration of 90 days. There is a possibility that this position could convert to a permanent position.
This position consists of at least 75% travel (or more). Must be willing and able to travel to all processing locations in Oregon, Washington, and Alaska.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical and Project ManagementOperation and maintenance of large ammonia, HVAC, boiler, and refrigeration systemsPreventative maintenance, monitoring, and record-keeping of ammonia HVAC, boiler, and refrigeration systemsTimely troubleshooting of issues with systems and detailed documentation of maintenanceInterpretation of equipment manualsEffective collaboration and coordination with Team Members and contractorsVisit processing facilities along the west coast ranging from Alaska to Oregon to troubleshoot, maintain, and manage a variety of refrigeration and ammonia systems2. Communication and DevelopmentConsistent and clear verbal and written communicationContinuous training, willingness to learn and adaptTrain and support Team Members on ammonia and refrigeration systems3. Process Safety Management (PSM)Implement PSM approach to identifying, controlling, and avoiding risksInterpret and uphold regulatory standards to ensure complianceIdentify, assess, and reduce hazard risks to Team Member safety and the environmentAdditional responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary to support the overall goals and objectives of the position.
Salary Range: $26.16 - $37.96 Per Hour

What You Bring to Pacific Seafood:
Required:
