Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer
Johnson Service Group
Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer
Role Overview:
JSG is seeking an experienced Analog/Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer to design and develop high-performance analog circuits, including amplifiers, data converters, voltage regulators, and other signal processing components. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and contribute to the innovation of cutting-edge technologies.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and design advanced analog integrated circuits, such as amplifiers, data converters, voltage regulators, and other analog signal processing circuits. Perform thorough design simulations, verification, and validation to ensure the circuits meet performance specifications and quality standards. Work closely with digital design teams, layout engineers, and system architects to ensure smooth integration of both analog and digital components. Lead innovation efforts by exploring and applying advanced design techniques, emerging technologies, and new methodologies. Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance to foster a culture of continuous professional development. Participate in design reviews, offer constructive feedback, and contribute to the improvement of design practices and standards. Support the testing, characterization, and debugging of analog ICs, collaborating with test engineering teams to improve performance and yield. Document design specifications, methodologies, and test results to ensure thorough and accurate technical documentation. Qualifications & Skills: Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, with a focus on CMOS analog/mixed-signal circuit design. 10+ years of experience in analog or mixed-signal IC design, preferably in advanced CMOS processes. Successful tape-out experience with leading foundries is essential. Deep understanding of analog/mixed-signal circuits, such as OpAmps, bandgap references, and voltage/current references. Familiarity with industry-standard EDA tools, CAD tools, and analog design methodologies, including design, simulation, layout, and verification (e.g., Synopsys, Cadence, Mentor Graphics). Strong knowledge of key concepts in analog mixed-signal design, such as mismatch mitigation, linearity, stability, and low-power techniques. Hands-on experience with analog mixed-signal IC development, from concept to high-volume production, including layout supervision and bench characterization. Expertise in system-level analog/mixed-signal design, with experience in advanced FinFET nodes. Ability to develop innovative architecture and circuit solutions tailored to meet customer requirements. Comfortable working in a startup environment with the ability to collaborate effectively and independently. Preferred Experience: Experience in data converter design, particularly ADC/DAC and related techniques. Hands-on experience with memory design or in-memory computing circuit design. Knowledge of AMS design and verification methodologies.
Employment Type: Full-time
Pay Range: $110,000 - $300,000/year (DOE)
Location: Fremont, CA
