Analog Power Desgin Engineer

McLeansville, NC

Contract Position

$48.50-$53.50/Hour

This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop undersea communication systems with a focus on analog power and mixed-signal circuits.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 3+ years of experience.

Clearance Requirements:

Ability to obtain a U.S. Top Secret Clearance.

Experience and Skills:

Expertise in electrical engineering CAD tools and mixed-signal circuit design and analysis.Proficient in circuit design, analog design, instrumentation, and feedback/control systems.Experience with power system architecture, grounding, isolated switching converters, and transmission line effects in power systems.Knowledge of EMI testing and control methods (MIL-STD-461, FCC, VDE).Hands-on experience with spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and other specialized lab equipment for development, testing, and troubleshooting.Ability to diagnose failures sequentially through circuit components and troubleshoot complex electronic systems.Experience in writing specifications, requirements, and verification procedures for electronic systems and components.Research and development (R&D) experience, with proficiency in circuit card design, testing, and analysis.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with high-voltage DC power systems, power electronics, and HVDC technology, including power converters ranging from a few watts to kilowatts.Magnetics and high-speed design experience.Ability to travel as needed.
