This position is an experienced role on the Advanced Analytics team. This role is responsible for developing and applying advanced analytic techniques as they relate to merchandising, marketing, customer loyalty, financial planning, demand forecasting, and overall performance of Fresh Thyme.

This position is an experienced role on the Advanced Analytics team. This role is responsible for developing and applying advanced analytic techniques as they relate to merchandising, marketing, customer loyalty, financial planning, demand forecasting, and overall performance of Fresh Thyme.
**What You'll be Doing:**
+ Responsible for delivering impact to the organization’s performance by:
+ providing analytical support primarily for the Fresh Thyme team and other relevant teams throughout the business
+ executing against analytics-based business opportunities
+ developing and applying analytical tools and approaches that improve the efficiency of the organization
+ Contribute subject matter expertise and methodological design of holistic, custom insights & recommendations for each area of the business by developing custom algorithms, statistical models, machine learning solutions and artificial intelligence.
+ Develop scorecards and partner with reporting teams to improve reporting effectiveness
+ Leverage disparate data sources and various platforms for holistic understanding to solve complex business problems
+ Define and analyze Key Performance Indicators to monitor the overall health and measure value of the data products
+ Effectively communicate business analysis, insights, and recommendations to business partners
+ Keep customer at the center of analytic approach, analysis and solutions and partner with cross functional teams to drive customer centered focus at Meijer.
+ Collaborate with other advanced analysts supporting various areas of the business
**What You Bring with You (Qualifications):**
+ Advanced Degree (MA/MS, PhD) in Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or other quantitative field.
+ 2+ years business experience in relevant analytics experience in an applied role—preferably within retail, logistics, supply chain, or CPG.
+ Experience with SQL, Python, or other programming language.
+ Experience with supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms (random forest, gradient boosting, clustering, etc.)
+ Experience with mobile insights platform (Placer.ai, Unacast, Azira, etc.) preferred.
+ Experience with dashboarding software (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) preferred.
+ Experience in an Advanced Analytics environment working with retail data (preferably at large retailer).
+ Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP) and Databricks (or similar) preferred.
+ Strong work ethic; Proactive and action oriented.
+ Excellent communication skills: listening, verbal and written.
+ Experience developing communications and presenting to leadership and business partners
+ Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills with ability to prioritize multiple/competing projects and assignments.
+ Demonstrates strong curiosity toward problem solving
