Position Overview:

 

Liberty Mutual Investments is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Analyst to join our Alternative Credit team. The ideal candidate should have 1 to 3+ years of experience in Securitized Products. This role demands a keen analytical mindset, a passion for financial markets, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a high-performing team.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Support investment activities in public and private Consumer ABS. Perform detailed collateral analysis across various consumer sectors including auto, credit card, student loan, unsecured consumer loans, etc. Develop and update cashflow models to evaluate potential opportunities across the capital stack, including senior, mezzanine, and residual investments.Conduct comprehensive investment due diligence, prepare investment memos, support investment committee process, review transaction documents, and assist in executing and onboarding new investments.Monitor and manage the performance of Consumer ABS investments. Analyze key trends, identify potential risks and provide timely insights to portfolio managers.Collaborate with LMI technology teams to design and implement advanced analytics and infrastructure to streamline the surveillance process.Conduct deep research and analysis within the consumer asset classes to identify market trends, risks, and emerging opportunities. Deliver actionable recommendations to inform and enhance strategic decision-making processes.Create and enhance systems and capabilities for analyzing and managing securitized investments. Utilize technology and analytical tools to improve investment processes and portfolio performance. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus.1-3+ years of experience in analyzing and managing securitized productsStrong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis. Proficiency in analytical and data management systems such as Excel, PowerBI, Bloomberg, and Intex. Experience with programming language a plus. Solid understanding of securitization structures, credit analysis, and cash flow modeling.Ability to work effectively within a team environment, collaborating with other analysts, portfolio managers, and cross-functional teams. Communicate complex analyses and findings clearly and concisely.Strong attention to detail, interpersonal and communication skills.Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms and their applications in financial analysis, and the use of GPT models for advanced problem-solving are a plus.Strong knowledge of statistical methods and their practical application in financial analysis is a plus.Strong work ethic.Tenacious problem-solving skills, with a focus on efficiency and effectiveness.Excellent communication skills, ability to work well in a team, and perform under pressure.
