Overview

The Benefits Analyst will assist in the implementation and administration of the employee benefits programs consistent with company objectives. Serve as a subject matter expert for company-wide benefit plans, programs, systems and processes. Provide daily benefits support, including answering benefits inbox questions and escalations. Delivers company-wide impact in the research, analysis, and administration of all corporate benefits. Regularly communicates with employees, vendors and the broader HR team ensuring accurate and effective delivery of all benefit offerings. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Manages administration of group benefit plans including but not limited to, medical, Rx, dental, vision, life insurances, disability, HSA and FSA.

Responds to benefits inquiries from employees and managers on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes, life events and other general inquiries.

Ensures accuracy of benefits enrollments/changes and effective transfer of eligibility and elections to vendor partners, including management of error reporting and troubleshooting any system or integration issues.

Partners with ADP to perform ongoing data validation to ensure ACA 1094 and 1095-C IRS filings are accurate and filed timely. 

Partners with team leadership in the development, implementation and coordination of company wellness initiatives.

Processes Qualified Medical Child Support Orders (QMSCO) in ADP timely and accurately. 

Assist with carrier file feed error resolutions, research, set up and maintenance.

Reviews and assesses efficiency of procedures and processes; documents processes; recommends appropriate changes for efficiency, cost and employee experience improvements.

 

Assist with the annual Open Enrollment process, which includes communication reviews, web testing, analysis and reporting.

Education and Experience

2+ years' experience in employee benefits Bachelor's degree in business administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred or Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS) or similar certification Knowledgeable of laws and regulations including but not limited to ERISA, FMLA, HIPAA, COBRA, PPACA, QMCSO/NMS Experience and/or knowledge of Puerto Rico a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions Proficiency in MS Suite including Excel Experience with ADP is preferred Ability to work independently and with a team, takes initiative and is solution-oriented Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including presentations, customer service and interpersonal skills Manage competing priorities and ability to multi-task Ability to identify, define and work to solve problems in an effective and timely manner High-level organizational skills and attention to detail Ownership of role and ability to see projects through to completion Meet deadlines in the appropriate timeframe Manage confidential information
